Hip-hop legend Eminem confirmed long-time suspicions to reporters Saturday that he did in fact vote for the Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

“Trump just hasn’t given a f**k and I like that about him. I mean he’s crazy and it took me a while to decide, but in the end, Hillary Clinton is and always has been a crook. I couldn’t vote for that b***h after what she publicly said about me to score publicity points” the rapper stated.

It is no secret that the Detroit-rapper and Hillary Clinton have shared an almost two-decade long beef with one another. The infamous feud stemmed from countless controversial claims made by the then-First Lady Hillary Clinton following the 1999 Columbine High School massacre.

Clinton made Eminem, and other musical artists including Marilyn Manson, the target of repeated insults and accusations of blame for the massacre, citing the violent and inappropriate lyrics and themes associated with the rapper’s music.

That same year, Eminem hit Clinton back on the wax:

“Hillary Clinton tried to slap me and call me a pervert. I ripped her fucking tonsils out and fed her sherbert (bitch!)” Eminem rapped back in 1999 on the hit-single “Role Model.”

Eminem is not the first hip-hop artist to vocally support President Donald Trump. Kanye West infamously shocked a San Jose audience one week after the historic 2016 election by announcing that although he didn’t vote, that if he had happened to have stumbled into a voting booth on election day, he would have voted for Trump. As expected, West’s audience was not pleased and booed the rapper off the stage.

West also sustained flack on social media for attending a high-profile meeting with the president-elect at Trump Tower in New York City weeks before the inauguration.

While droves of Eminem fans have not yet abandoned the artist for his political beliefs, as fans of Kanye West are doing now, fellow Detroit-based rappers and members of Eminem’s hip-hop group D12 are expressing their surprise and disappointment.

“I just can’t believe it. (Eminem) has done some crazy stupid s*** before, but nothing as bad as this” fellow D12 rapper Bizzare told reporters. “I just hope he hasn’t relapsed or something.”
